Christian Perspective On Sex Toys

Sex Toys

The Bible doesn’t specifically mention sex toys in the bedroom but there are plenty of biblical principles that can be applied.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”

Are Sex toys allowed?

Both a man and a woman can orgasm without toys and were designed to be within a loving marriage to fully meld with that person without the need of anything artificial. Why should we bring a battery operated man-made device into the bedroom? Isn’t this just objectifying and de-humanising sex? So let’s talk more on this subject.
God designed sex to unify us on three levels:
Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual.
You can’t have a connection on a spiritual and emotional level unless commitment and marriage is involved this then envelopes love empathy. Empathy means the ability to understand and complement each other.
You can’t make love or to say I love you and I adore you unless you truly mean it where your DNA sings for that person. And in our society we have moved away from a committed relationship, seen today with marriage not being what it was and multiple partners to satisfy oneself.

So what does society emphasise when it comes to sex?

The physical that’s all sex is not love which God beautifully designed for us giving us all the parts to complement each other like lubricating fluid to make it easier and a sense of being one with your wife. When sex is only physical and there’s not the thirst that comes from truly expressing making love, then we need more and more man-made things to give us the same satisfaction, just like humans develop a tolerance for alcohol and addiction starts.
We live in a pornographic culture where sex is King it’s not enough just to make love anymore, We don’t know how to make love.
We’re supposed to be experts in human made ideas, we partake in all kinds of things that a century ago people would have completely laughed at. Media then promotes through all our senses, eyes, ears, taste, smell and touch. What has happened with sex toys? They have designed them to tap into or wrap around all our senses look at vibrators, they become pleasing erotic to the eye. They buzz maybe not all but have different speeds and noise to stimulate the glands more. They sell different kinds of lube which tastes nice and smells divine, again smells that stimulate the senses.
What is actually going on here?
We can’t love so we need sex toys to help us.
What we see becomes erotic taking sex to an act not a melding of a man and a woman to become one body.
Why do we need lube in the first place? Because we can’t get aroused because sex is not love, where the bodies lubricating fluids mix with design taking the art of love to the next level. Smell is also evident when you make love, as all the senses are hit becoming a spiritual masterpiece within marriage. Everything that God said is unclean and every disobedience is in the same time sin too because it can separate us from Him.
There are so-called Christian sex shops which you can easily find on search engines having sex for the Lord, using Jesus to promote toys, vibrators, whips and sexy lingerie is again morally disgusting and not in his will. It’s vital for the church and true Christians to talk about sex according to God’s plan because the Lord is the creator of sex. We’ve allowed culture to hijack what God beautifully designed. It is a beautiful gift designed with love in mind, God loves us we are made in his image. He wants us to cherish like him that means total, and eternal for a man and a woman to share on the altar or marriage bed. But anything that is warped or twisted from that does not highlight God’s plan for mankind. Satan then latches onto this seed spreading it becoming vile. Porn was something that God never intended to be there to begin with, again to hit all our senses physically, visually or emotionally is to succumb to temptation and move us away from Christ. About 70-80 percent of men and woman watch porn. What can we say here using our bodies for unnatural acts, lusts and ideas, giving us the conception that this way is correct, it must be because I have seen it with my eyes, We are all human and we need love and a companion, we were created to be a social person, God gave Adam a helper in Eve, a wife.

Romans 12:1-2
“Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Peter 2-5
“Moreover, the faithful man, the child of God, born of the Spirit but not of flesh, has a privileged position in the eyes of God: “You, also, as living stones, are being build up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

So did God create us to watch porn on the internet?

To treat woman like an object, to do anything you want to them? It’s no wonder there is rape and sex attacks on woman when from a young age people can watch violent sexual films and think it’s ok to do these things. The sad thing is people know it’s wrong, yet they still do it anyway. Packaging for sex toys is plain and discrete.
Why Is This?
Because people are embarrassed and ashamed to buy these things, maybe not in all cases, but shops have curtains on to be discreet, we can order online taking away the embarrassment but we still have guilt. What do we then decide to do hide the toy so our family and friends don’t see? Would you want your Mum to find a vibrator the next time she comes around for tea? I think not. What happened at work when a woman left a box on the train, it was taken to lost property and opened to check what was inside there was a vibrator inside a black box. It was logged and the woman came back to collect her item, unknowing that we knew what was in their, human nature is we smile and find it amusing. She wanted to collect and quickly leave the building, she was also red-faced.

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

The Bible does not mention Jesus succumbed to any temptation, this is because he had no sin. The Bible also says that Jesus did not bring sacrifices for his sins. Because he had no reason to do so. Would Jesus have used a sex toy? Categorically no.

If God is perfect and Jesus is His embodiment, and he used a sex toy, then God created something (human) which cannot be controlled in-depth Jesus was made human but was a higher form than us. If Jesus was God and He had used a sex toy that means God cannot direct Himself. He has no self-control and can’t love, yet Jesus was God the author of love and sex? He was also holy, and the bible many times asks that we be clean, pure and Holy in the presence of God, and in this age Because we are sealed, we are not our own, we are God’s chosen people that the Holy Spirit needs to come and dwell this is impossible if we are dirty and immoral, we cannot be born again and receive the seal of Jesus Christ and our eternal Salvation. He can command all the universe, but cannot master the function of a human being created in his image! Sex toys is Masturbation please read our article on Masturbation, found in Christian Sexual Life.
The term “Masturbation” is derived from the Latin words “Manus” meaning “hand” and “Stupratio” meaning “defilement.” In our world, it is accepted. Masturbation is seen as normal and part of exploring sexual behaviour and self-gratification. Self-Stimulation is common human behaviour said to occur in around 90 percent of males, and 60 percent of females, Stimulation of the genital organs to a climax of bliss and excitement. Masturbation is self-pollution and in excess anxiety related, Masturbation is a sin. Clean mind, clean, soul, clean spirit.
The Bible warns:

Romans 8: 5-6
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live in according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1 Peter 3:7
 A Word to Husbands
7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
Marriage—Christ and the Church
22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Saviour of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.  31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.  33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Romans 1:20-32
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
