Why Does God Require Us To Worship Him?

When God created mankind he made us in his own image. He created us to worship him throughout history (His-story) in love as he cherishes us. That’s what we did, and that’s what we knew. If you desire something enough you worship it. God is above all, a beautiful creator that is expressive, creative and open to receive. We were made with free will to praise him as a gift.

Worship touches our emotions and affects human nature but the hour is coming when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to venerate him. Worship means to give honour, respect, adoration, reverence, homage to a higher being, and The Father is the only one that deserves to be worshiped. The Sabbath belongs to the Lord, it’s an act of love, not convenience when we go to church. The Bible is Basic-Instruction-Before-Leaving-Earth. What we do here on this planet is a rehearsal for when we give devotion before God’s throne in heaven.

Revelations 4-11

“You are worthy O Lord to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.”

1 Chronicles 16:23-31

“Sing to the Lord, all the earth, proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all people For Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise, he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of nations are idols, but the lord made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before him, strength and joy in his dwelling place. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord Glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name. Bring an offering and come before him, worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad, let them say among the nations, the lord reigns.”

Ascribe means give credit, Quality or characteristic, what more perfection is there than the creator himself?

We give homage to football teams, music stars in modern times, think of the hysteria that the Beatles had in our society they were modern, new, different styles of music not experienced before, people screamed, wept, and fainted to see a glimpse of their hero’s. This is the type of devotion and adoration God requires for himself. The expression of devotion should not be confused as a requirement for salvation, but as a means for truth exploding to life in the midst of people. When we express ourselves to the full devotion of worship, the Spirit descends, and he will dwell in every person in a special way.

Does He have an ego?

God is the most adorable being. Adoration is freeness from the heart to proclaim yourself. Praise is enjoyment, the world has acclaim everywhere and we adulate everything if you think about it. Parents love what we care about, praise completes the enjoyment process which completes the unification of complex love with our Lord God, as it is an expression of reverence and thanksgiving to him.

But ultimately the creator wants us to be obedient to him, and act according to his moral laws to one another, in this way we address ourself as a living sacrifice pure, and holy flawless by human ways, pleasing to him. Our eternal destiny depends on worshiping God.

Philippian’s 3-3

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, Rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”

The Church is identified as God’s people, true Christians are a Church, who are Ambassador’s for Christ, or called out Priests.

2 Corinthians 5-20

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us, we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

1 Peter 2-9

“But you are a chosen generation, a Royal Priesthood, a holy nation, his own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of him, who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

We walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. We do not trust in ourself for salvation only in Jesus Christ our Lord. People who do not worship, honour, and love the creator of all life, the true living god, are not children of god and are destined eternally in hell. The nature of a Christian is in Christ we serve, as in the name, our eternal destiny depends on it. That is the ultimate message redemption, to worship the true, living and glorious Creator, who gave us free will and The Holy Spirit to guide us back to Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14-7

“He said in a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory because the hour of judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

Psalm 100

“Shout for joy to the lord, all the earth. Worship the lord with gladness, come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth. To do this we have to obey his moral laws and commandments. The bible tells us how to worship the almighty. Anything else from the bible is false doctrine, if we fail to show our Father the love and respect he deserves it becomes sin, we are then lost, and punished along with the fallen angels in fiery torment. As we worship sing, pray, take communion, as scripture is preached by our Pastors it must be done according to the bible the word of god. Heaven is a place of praise and worship the earth should be as well. The bible says about 500 times praise, so this is very important to our Lord God.

Why is God worthy of praise?

God created everything.

Colossians 1:16-17

“For by him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, he is before all things and in him all things hold together.”

If you were God and created everything is this not worthy of our love and praise?

Psalm 47-6

“Sing praises to God, sing praises to our King, sing praises.”

Psalm 47-1

“Clap your hands, all you nations shout to God with cries of joy.”

Acts 10-46

“They heard those speaking in tongues and praising God.”

Psalm 150:3-5

“Praise him with the sounding of a trumpet, with the harp and lyre, tambourine and dancing, strings, flute, cymbals.”

Our Lord has clearly said he created everything and all is in him. He gave us his only son to die on the cross. He told us to give praise exalting him lifting his name to the heavens. We should worship the creator in our beds, prayer and quiet time. We should sing, play instruments, clap our hands, dance and speak in tongues blessed by The Holy Spirit.

Those who worship the creator will naturally worship him in spirit and truth because God is a spirit. In the world today we have lost our identity and need to look to the Lord to bring us back into the arms of the father, without him, we have no salvation.

We take the creator for granted but he has also given us flowers, butterflies, Spring bloom an environment to live, and has shown his love for mankind all throughout scripture. Worshiping the King of Kings is not boring if you love him like he loves you. He gave us life in our soul, The Holy Spirit, and the bible his beautiful word. Worship is not a job, its pleasure because a child of God has divine thinking. Remember To appreciate the creator and his true character and we will awaken ourselves to reality. We were designed and moulded to worship the King of Kings with all our beautifully made mechanics. This is the deep secret of spiritual power that can be tapped into if you give a little of your time, God will reward you with eternity.

Worship is a commanded:

Hebrews 13:15

“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of lips that confess his name.”

Exodus 34:14

“Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”

Psalm 8:2

“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants

You have ordained strength,

Because of Your enemies,

That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”

Why does praise defeat the adversary Satan?

Satan’s sin was jealousy. He is still driven by jealousy today even if he can’t get people to worship him, his goal is to keep people from worshipping God. He seeks to draw attention away from religion When we worship the creator we thwart Satan’s plans.

Though the perfect design was corrupted by the introduction of sin, the purpose of our existence has not changed to venerate God in spirit and in truth.

A true worshiper of the Lord has a humble heart is a person of prayer, has true compassion for people, lives a sanctified and holy life, is happy and loves to serve in God’s household.
